Are mosquitos bad in the Galapagos?

Surprisingly NO! Due to the onshore breezes most coastal areas dont have too many problems with mosquitos but inland on the islands in the greener areas you may have more. But due to the lack of standing water and generally dry climate, Galapagos is not too bad for mosquitos and you can often sleep without protection and not pay the price for it.
