Good question, not at all! Many say it is actually just the size of a small town airport, not reflecting the size of Quito city with over one million residents. Really there is just one terminal and you can walk from the farthest gate to the other in just 10 minutes. Security is also very fast, almost never a line. Sometimes at outbound immigration there can be a wait of around 20-30 minutes.
